Mercedes Varnado (Former WWE Superstar Sasha Banks) has spoken about using CBD oil, which in part helped her quit drinking and fight depression back in 2018.

In June of 2021, Mercedes promoted a new CBD oil, Kanndela, launched by former WWE Superstar Kalisto and his wife Abagail. When speaking to ‘Cannabis and Tech Today‘ Magazine , Mercedes highlighted the new CBD oil. “Being a professional wrestler, it’s so draining. It’s so, so hard. We’re never home. We’re always banged up and always hurt. And once I got introduced to CBD my life just fully, fully changed. I noticed that anxiety I would get, once I took CBD it all just dissipated.

“I just think the more education, the better. I think people are so afraid of hearing CBD comes from the THC plant and think, ‘Oh, psychoactive, I’m going to turn into this …’ There are so many misconstrued labels on it. And for me, I was drinking every day to help with my anxiety and pain. I was taking ibuprofen. Once I switched to CBD, I stopped drinking. I stopped taking all these other pain medications to help me feel better.

“I started to feel like myself again. I started working with Manny and Abby, and the more that we learned and grew, we just wanted to create our own project.” Mercedes further stated that in addition to helping her constant nervousness, using CBD oil gave her the poise to stop drinking heavily and taking painkillers in 2018.

CBD, or cannabidiol, is a compound derived from the cannabis plant that is known for its potential health benefits. While it is often associated with marijuana, CBD is not psychoactive and does not produce a "high" like THC, the compound that does have psychoactive effects.
Mercedes Varnado, who is best known by her WWE ring name Sasha Banks, recently spoke out about her positive experience with CBD oil. She explained that as a professional wrestler, her job was physically and emotionally demanding, leaving her constantly sore and anxious. Mercedes revealed that she had turned to alcohol and ibuprofen to help cope with the pain and anxiety, but that once she discovered CBD oil, her life changed for the better.

CBD oil has been touted as a natural remedy for a variety of health issues, including anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. Studies have shown that it may help reduce inflammation, improve sleep, and even alleviate symptoms of epilepsy.

Mercedes spoke about the importance of educating people about CBD and breaking down misconceptions surrounding the substance. She believes that many people are afraid to try CBD because they think it is psychoactive or that it will get them "high." However, she stressed that CBD is non-psychoactive and has no addictive properties.

In addition to promoting the benefits of CBD, Mercedes also spoke about her collaboration with former WWE Superstar Kalisto and his wife Abagail on their new CBD oil brand, Kanndela. She shared that she had been working with the couple to create a high-quality, effective CBD product that could help others like herself.

Overall, Mercedes' story is a testament to the potential benefits of CBD oil, and how it can help individuals manage their physical and mental health in a natural and safe way. As more research is conducted on the compound, it is likely that we will continue to discover new ways in which it can improve our lives.
